HIV, HSV, syphilis: You don't have a diagnostic rash with HIV and a blood test is necessary for diagnosis. Herpes, or HSV you will have classic rash in the genital area with primary infection, and a blood test can confirm that. Also the RPR test is used for diagnosis of syphilis if not having classic chancres
