Can you take prilosec at night? if so, is it best to take it before dinner or right before bedtime?

Prilosec timing: Yes, you may take Prilosec or generic Omeprazole at night or in the morning. This med is not a 24 hr acid blocker. Acid production is stimulated by food, particularly meats. And onset of action is 45-90 minutes. You may take it before dinner, but should be about 30-45 min. Goal is symptom relief. Morning dosing is typical but not absolute.
