Avoid skin chemicals: Skin is is not a barrier and absorbs chemicals. It is a good idea in pregnancy to avoid chemicals. Hormones may change skin a great deal such that the skin may become hypersensitive. The less exposure to harsh chemicals during pregnancy, the better for the mother's skin and the baby's health. To best answer this question one would know the detailed chemistry of the agent to be considered for use.
