Blood type: There are a number of proteins on the outside of red cells that identify them as yours. The major proteins are the "ABO" group and the "RH" group. The RH group contains a variety of proteins c, C, D, e, E which may be found on your cells. Apparently you are D+. So are 90% of asians. There is no infection or problem with your blood. Blood type and RH status is important if you need a transfusion
