Thirst: Fever can increase the thirst response. Monitor your child closely if controlling the fever does not decrease the thirst, the child should be evaluated, especially if there is diarrhea.

Drinking: Fever will increase your need for fluid. Other illnesses can be responsible also, particularly any type of diabetes. Have her blood sugar and her urine checked and the cause for her fever. All the best.
