A member asked:

I have high bp i want to have a contraception but don't know which would be good for me. one doctor gave me cerazette is it ok for me to take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: That form of birth control does not increase your risk for blood clots, heart attack or stroke, which is the concern in someone over 35 and with high blood pressure. Cerazette contains only progesterone. Another option would be an IUD as they are very safe for women with high blood pressure issues. Best of luck to you.
