Compression: These symptoms could be the result of compression. Either too tight shoes or swollen feet while wearing the shoes. When they become purple, that may be a bruising sign but it may be a sign of poor circulation. When they become numb, the nerves supplying the area are hampered. Shoes/boots too tight? If it happens without shoes, consider seeing the podiatrist to have it checked!
