Syphilis blood test: It's just a blood test for syphilis. (Without meaing to sound critical, this sounds like a question from a century ago!) The Wassermann test was the first blood test to diagnose syphilis. It lives on in the form of the VDRL and RPR tests. The Wasserman test itself has not been used for over 80 years.
