A member asked:

What could these symptoms indicate? my daughter is lethargic and has dischrage from her left eye. she also might have an upper respiratory infection.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Conjunctivitis: "Pink eye" or conjunctivitis can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or allergies. The bacteria type usually has redness and drainage from the eye lids all day. The virus and allergy type may be goopy in the morning, but more teary during the day. If she has a fever >101 or feels sick, she should probably be checked by her doctor.
