A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nosocomial infection: Infections that occur in the hospital or a health-care setting are referred to as 'nosocomial infections'. These are unfortunate complications occuring in places where there shouldn't be any. According to the CDC, the most common of these infections are urinary tract infections (UTI), followed by surgical site infections, bloodstream infections and pneumonia.
