Depends85%: rTakayasu`s arteritis is a granulomatous giant cell arteritis that involves the aortic arch and can affect the arteries to the carotid, pulmonary, subclavian and even coronary arteries. The major treatment is prednisone, starting with high doses, mycophenolate, and tocilzumab. Bypass grafting, stents have been done. Many are young Asian women and with treatment many can live a normal life.
