Separate entitities: Occasionally, when tubal sterilization is performed laparoscopically, a surgeon may tell a patient after the procedure that he/she has seen blue or white lesions suggesting endometriosis. The extent of those lesions does not necessarily correspond with any discomfort from endometriosis. Endometriosis, once diagnosed, needs to be dealt with independently.
