A member asked:

How do you get diagnosed with milia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Milia: Milia is a clinical diagnosis. There is no test for it. Milia are commonly found on the skin of people of all ages. They are formed when keratin (a substance produced by the skin) becomes entrapped beneath the outer layer of the skin, forming a tiny cyst. Probably 50% of healthy infants have milia and it is considered as normal finding.
