Space out: Birth control pills that contain 30 (thirty) micrograms of ethinylestradiol (EE) and 0.150 mg of levonorgestrel can be taken for 84 days in a row, followed by a 7 day break. Another pill with a combination of 20 (twenty) micrograms of EE and 0.090 mg (90 micrograms) of levonorgestrel that could be taken for a year (Lybrel) does not seem to be available any more.
