Addiction: Cocaine is a very addictive drug. The only legitimate use is as a nasal anesthetic for some types of surgery. Recreationally it is inhaled as powder or smoked in the form of a rock aka crack. It increases dopamine levels in the brain which can cause paranoia or other psychotic symptoms. Peripherally it is a very powerful vasoconstrictor and can cause very serious heart problems among other things
