If your doctor decides to start you on steroids make sure they are tapered off and not just discontinued. Minocin (minocycline) is a type of tetracycline that can also help increase recovery and help the taper of steroids quicker. Minocin (minocycline) has many side effects and may be the cause of the weakness you are experiencing.
