Oral birth control: Today's bcp's have very low estrogen, and it is therefore important to remember to take them at the same time. . Taking two at a time will usually result in some bleeding (brown discharge). Your best bet , however , is to stop now, wait 5-7 days and resume with the beginning of a new pack of bcp. First get a HCG pregnancy test, and if negative, start at a certain time each evening.

Yes: Your period will be abnormal for 1-2 months until you get back on the proper birth control schedule again. Be sure to use a backup method of birth control this month. Setting an alarm may be helpful for reminding you when to take the pill!
