Possibly: It is difficult to say as there are multiple variables including genetics, sex and body size. Alcohol abuse generally leads to cirrhosis over a period of a few to 30 years of drinking. It is possible for one bottle of one a day to cause cirrhosis. If you or someone you now has a drinking problem please seek counseling.

Depends: It will cause cirrhosis in only about 10% of the individuals. More risk if the person also has viral hepatitis, hemochromatosis and/or nutritional deficiencies. However drinking that much will certainly damage the brain in all drinkers. For a woman drinking during pregnancy may cause brain damage to the fetus as well.
