I had a armpit odor problem but i would cover it up with deodorant & be fine but now my odor has become excessive could it be from piling deodorant on?

Unlikely: Body odors are caused from certain bacteria that live on the skin. Also certain spices such as garlic can be present in the sweat. Also you can have a reaction to certain chemicals in the deodorant. Since you had the smell prior to the deodorant I doubt its the deodorant problem. Also certain metabolic problems can cause a pungent odor. Wash really well with soap and avoid certain spices.

Pheromones: It's possible the pheromones related to development are causing this unpleasant odor. I would suggest continuing the deodorant. Consider frequent bathing after sweaty situations and keeping the area hair free.
