I am prescribed medical marijuana from my dr but before i take it am i able to still breastfeed or will it affect my baby?

Wouldn't do it: Smoking anything with a baby in the house (directly or with odor on your hair/clothes) will increase crib death risk, double or triple risk of respiratory infections and likely effect long term development.
