Not effective: Whole house HEPA may reduce dust mite count but does not improve allergic symptoms. Sometimes I recommend HEPA for the bedroom w/ pet allergy. It is more important as to how much air change it provides than where it is placed. The only kind that works is a HEPA hood above your head & this would not likely be tolerated by most people. I think an allergist will be able to offer you some guidance.
