A member asked:

Is it ok to get pneumoccal vaccine when i'm ill with common cold ? will it be less effective ? should i wait ?

Yes it is OK: The vaccine will be just as effective. In general, unless there is a serious illness it is better to give vaccines than to withhold them. Remember your flu vaccine as well.

Effective: as long as you are not running a high fever or seriously ill.
