A member asked:

Can we give dytor if having encephalopathy?

Yes....but......: Dytor is a diuretic used with patients with Hepatic encephalopathy. While it can be effective, the actual cause of the encephalopathy needs to be addressed. If its due to a high ammonia then lactulose can be given..but the presence of the virus itself can be the cause. Solvaldi (sobosbuvir) in combination with ledipasvir..called Havroni is now available. It is for the treatment of Hep C.
