Bruised rib: May be costochondritis, an inflammation of the rib. Occurs with viral infecitons or mycoplasma, Can try a trial of NSAIDs if no allergy,. some times i give zithromax for mycoplasma if there are other ear nose throat symptoms.Alternatively you may have inadvertently bruised it .
