My almost 3 week old is having trouble pooping. she screams and turns red and nothing comes out. she is on enfamil gentlease. tried karo syrup nothing?

Gas or constipated: Sometimes what we think is having trouble pooping in young babies is actually gas. When was the last time she pooped and was it soft or hard pebbles? You can add dark karo syrup 1 tsp to every other 4 ounce bottle to loosen stool up not to make it come out. If her stool comes out soft when she does go, you might want to try some simethicone drops 0.3 ml before she eats to help with the gas.
