Breast masses: The breasts are of different consistency at different times in a woman's cycle. If what you describe is persistent, it is probably just "fibrocystic disease" which is not harmful. Low dose oral contraceptives turn off your ovaries' estrogen, and will reduce these cystic areas over time. Ask your healthcare provider to see if this is appropriate for you .
