How do i prepare for aortic valve repair surgery?

Follow instructions: Your doctor and office staff will give you specific instructions about which medications to take on the day of surgery. Usually, patients are instructed to continue blood pressure medications on the usual schedule. If you are on aspirin, ask if you need to stop taking it. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight other than a sip of water for taking your medications. Take a morning shower.
