Late menses: First is pregnancy. Delayed ovulation which will make the period come 14 days later. If ovulation occurs on day 20, your period (if not pregnant) will start on day 34. Sudden severe stress (suspended ovulation). Polycystic ovarian syndrome; pituitary tumor; recent cervical surgery blocking the canal with scar tissue; large clots in cervical canal; Others more rare.
