Safer than you think: It's usually safe to eat sushi and other dishes made with raw or cooked fish when you're pregnant. However, depending on what fish the sushi is made from. For more information bring up your concerns with your gynecologist or OB-GYN.

Pregnancy: Uncooked seafood and rare or undercooked beef or poultry should be avoided because of the risk of contamination with coliform bacteria, toxoplasmosis, and salmonella. Deli Meat: Deli meats have been known to be contaminated with listeria, which can cause miscarriage.
