More Than Skin Deep: Not very scientific.Your dad is lucky.Probably ate well and exercised. If not, really lucky. Nicotine constricts the very small blood vessels and the skin usually shows it.But who knows, maybe his heart has been affected and THAT won't show 'till he gets a heart attack. Maybe the kidneys. Maybe his eyes.Maybe other vessels. It has other effects too, like cancer and COPD.Now THAT will eventually show

It is hard to quit: The harm smoking inflicts on the skin seems superficial compared to heart disease or lung cancer. Smoking is both physically and psychologically addictive. Quitting smoking is not easy, but I know you can do it. Ask your doctor about Chantix.
