Dr. George Klauber answered

Specializes in Pediatric Urology

Following reasons:: Will lose protective effects of estrogen on bladder & urethral lining if ovaries were removed with uterus similar to, or might be actual, menopause. Otherwise need to urinate after sex, shower rather than bathe, avoid constipation & non-cotton or thong underwear. Spread thighs when urinating to avoid vaginal trapping of urine. Have sufficient fluid intake to urinate avery 3 hours or so.
