Not recommended: at you age, there is nothing to gain by patching your good eye

Poor vision: If you want to experience what diminished vision is like go ahead. The poor if any vision you have in the bad eye would remain so. Patching the good eye can help a 3 year old kid whose brain has not yet decided to turn off the input from the weaker eye. Once the visual pathways have matured there is no going back.
