I'm taking birth control at 16 to treat my dysmenorrhea, could this be a cause for my elevated blood pressure?

That is possible: Discuss this with your physician. Take care.

Its possible: Birth Control pills are known to cause high blood-pressure in some women. If you didn't have high blood pressure before you started them, they may be the culprit. You need to see your doc and try an alternative method for a month to see if your blood pressure comes back down. Then you will know. Best wishes!
