I took bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) last week (finished friday) this morning i have a red rash all over my abdomen, arms and legs. do i need to call my dr?

Yes: It is very likely that your rash is a new allergic reaction to Bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) which would mean you are now allergic to whole class of Sulfa drugs. On the other hand, it is always possible that the rash is due to something else, such as a virus. Consider taking a picture of your rash to show your doctor, but call doctor now. If itchy and no fever, antihistamine (Benadryl) may help.
