Preterm: Contractions and pelvic pain do not necessarily mean that you are in labor. Labor is defined as having regular contractions with interval cervical change. You are in your last trimester, so pelvic pressure and discomfort would be common as the baby moves into position for labor. Having said this, most babies over 34 weeks who are delivered early do well in terms of survival and overall health.
