Inflammation....: Your symptoms typically mean there is inflammation in the airways and maybe bronchospasm. This can be treated with inhalers-steroid for the inflammation and bronchodilator for bronchospasm. If the sputum is discolored and you have other symptoms of infection, you could have acute bronchitis. If not, you may have chronic bronchitis, a form of COPD. If you smoke, you need to quit ASAP! See your doc
