LARC: Consider using long acting reversible contraception (LARC) such as the IUD or Nexplanon. They are both placed by your doctor and once placed there is nothing to remember to take. The IUD may last 5 or 10 years depending on what type is placed. Nexplanon may last 3 years. All may be remove prior to the maximum time if pregnancy is desired. Depo provera (medroxyprogesterone) injections every 3 months is also an option.
