No one can hurt your: feelings unless you allow them to do so. Anger, even if justifiable, only hurts the person who has it. When you appear angry when someone says or does something mean, you reinforce their behavior. Don't engage with them. Just say, " I hope you feel better soon" & walk away to ignore the barbs. See your doctor for referral to a therapist who can teach you self- calming techniques.
