A member asked:

If a back issue is causing leg pain, would the pain originate in the lower leg and work its way up over time, or would it begin higher and work down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually from the top: Most of the time the pain starts in the buttocks and radiates down to the calf or foot. It is possible the pain can occur lower in the leg first
