Pregnancy test: A woman who misses her period for 2 months may want to do a pregnancy test. If the test is negative and she is 51 y/o she may be approaching menopause.

If having sex with..: men or a man who has not been confirmed as surgically sterilized, and if you are approaching menopause, you can *still* become pregnant if not using birth control. Menopause is defined as not having had a period for more than a year, in the absence of pregnancy. Always use a pregnancy test first. If not pregnant, it is possible that you may have irregular cycles as menopause approaches.
