Likely muscle throb: Women, pregnant or not, w/ throbbing in side of neck who have had med tests to rule out serious problems are left with a couple of poss. causes: nervous tick (if due to anxiety), nerve irritatio: mechanical-due to pregnancy or just due to spinal or rib dysfunction irritating nerve.In pregnancy, meds are a bad idea, but osteopathic hands-on exam may find cause & gentle manipulation may fix it.
