Breakthrough: Even with Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone) breakthrough bleeding can happen. If you have a UTI (not sure how that happens "on and off" ) then you need to be seen by a doc, get a urine sample for UA and culture and if necessary get started on antibiotics.
