Diet: Vitamins are never a substitute for a healthy diet, pregnant or not. You want to try to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, protein, dairy, and avoid empty calories, sugars and processed foods. Poor diet and overeating are during pregnancy are a major cause of obesity in women.

Likely not: When you are pregnant you are eating for 2 persons, yourself and your baby. Eating a proper and healthy diet is essential for a healthy pregnancy. Poor beating habits may lead to excessive or poor fetal growth among other things. Have your doctor advise you or refer you to a nutritionist for diet counseling.
