Check arthritis: The association of cold with joint symptoms is suggestive of some type of inflammation in her joints. For this she needs to be examined by her GP. Some preliminary blood testing and X Ray may be helpful in diagnosing the condition.

Cold knees: Sounds like her circulation in her knees react to the cold and shrink which decrease perfusion causing pain and pallor
