It usually starts getting better until most women completely lose their period while on the hormonal injection, so don't be afraid when this happens. Depo: Abnormal bleeding, bleeding everyday to no bleeding at all, is a side effect of progesterone only contraceptives such as depo. The bleeding pattern you describe can be entirely normal on depo.
