Hi there, about 8 months ago i started taking the depo shot after having a child. currently iv had my period for a month, what could be wrong?

Depo effects...: Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) can definitely cause abnormal bleeding especially in the beginning. It usually starts getting better until most women completely lose their period while on the hormonal injection, so don't be afraid when this happens. Depo: Abnormal bleeding, bleeding everyday to no bleeding at all, is a side effect of progesterone only contraceptives such as depo. The bleeding pattern you describe can be entirely normal on depo.
