A member asked:

Breastfeeding.bad reaction to minipill birth control, was recommended implant. can it be removed if i have the same reaction or want kids sooner?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Contraception: The minipill is progesterone as is the implant. I would be concerned that you may have similar side effects even though the implant releases very low doses. It can be removed early if you decide to have children earlier. You may want to consider a non hormonal contraception such as a paraguard IUD. This would not interfere with breastfeeding or cause any hormonal side effects.
