Is hydrocortizone effective in healing of anal fissure?

No: Hydrocortisone should not be used on open wounds or sores as it can delay healing. See your doc to evaluate and treat. High fiber diet to prevent constipation and further fissures, stool softeners if needed for now. Also, avoid scented soaps when cleaning area and use unscented detergent when washing clothes that cover that area. If you have fever, increasing pain, or pus, go to the ER.
