Infection: This can represent an infection on the scalp from either bacteria or fungus if there is localized swelling. However if the scalp is clear, this could represent pain from inflammation of an artery or pain form inside the head. If the scalp is normal see md for evaluation and testing.If scalp is inflammed you will need oral medications.
