Simple reflux: This is a normal pattern in infancy that peaks around 4 months and begins to fade as they spend more time sitting upright. The kid who smiles and will eat again soon (happy spitter) is not bothered by the events. If he won't eat again or acts sickly, it could be an illness or treatable acid reflux.Thickened feeds can often help this along with positioning baby at an upright angle.
