A member asked:

If i was exposed to someone with pink eye 2 days ago and am now feeling symptomatic, can it be possible that i can be getting it that quickly?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pink eye: Yes, you may get it that fast. Most pink eye is viral, like a cold virus, and is spread through droplets such as sneezing or if someone rubs their eye then touches you. Incubation time is similar to cold viruses. Some pink eye is caused by bacteria, which may benefit from ocular antibiotics. See your doctor if your eye or eyes are red, sooner if there is pain, immediately if change in vision.
